This gap in skills leads to continued cycles of poverty, forcing individuals to rely on traditional, low-income occupations or migrate to urban areas in search of work. Additionally, there is a mismatch between available job opportunities and the skills possessed by local populations, further exacerbating the issue.
Raah Foundation’s Skill Training Program aims to bridge the gap between untapped human potential and market demands by equipping individuals with relevant skills that improve employability and income generation. The program focuses on vocational training, entrepreneurship development, and capacity building, tailored to local economic opportunities. It leverages community-driven approaches to ensure that training is practical, accessible, and aligned with local job markets and industries.

The programs are standardized and customized for basic and advanced levels in welding and highly advanced metal working technologies
The 60 day training program supports students in the final year of their education in ITI, Government colleges, engineering colleges, and other faculties at the institution’s premises.
While emphasizing employability and life skills, students receive resume writing skills, spoken English, and computer technology; presenting at interviews and achieving gainful employment. On completion of the course, the student’s CV is uploaded to a portal accessible to employers creating an effective platform to follow through and measure program impact.
