For us, sustainable livelihoods goes beyond the conventional definitions and approaches to poverty eradication and is an integrated and coherent approach. We believe in enhancing poor people’s ability to make a living in an economically, ecologically, and socially sustainable manner. Our program begins with identifying the opportunity followed by identifying the woman who is interested and has an in in using this opportunity to change her life. She is then trained extensively to use the opportunity. Her capacity to manage the other dimension of poverty through appropriate training and confidence building.
